Add line items & services

Price the job by adding products and configurable services to your quote.

With your quote's sections in place, you fill them with line items — the products and services that make up the job. Each line item has a quantity and a price, and the quote's Total updates as you add them.

In this guide, you'll:

  • Add a product line item
  • Set its quantity and price
  • Watch the totals update

1. Add a product

In a section, select + Add Product, search for the product, and choose it. It drops in as a line item with Unit Price, Qty, and Total columns.

Set the quantity and enter the unit price. Products don't carry a preset price into the quote — you set the price for each quote. A line's Total is simply Unit Price × Qty, and the Section Total and the quote's overall Total add up from there.

2. Set quantity and price

Each line item has steppers for Qty and Unit Price — type a value or use the −/+ controls. The math is immediate: a line at $10.00 × 1 reads $10.00; bump the quantity to 6 and the line and the totals update right away.

3. Services are coming soon

Beyond products, BriteBase will let you add configurable services — a roofline or pathway run you spec out (bulb type, spacing, color, and whether it's leased or purchased — see Lease vs Purchase) and price by the job. This is being finalized; for now, build your quotes with products. (A guide to adding services is coming soon.)

4. Watch the totals

As you add and adjust line items, the bar along the bottom keeps a running tally — Total, Total Margin, Est. Complexity, and Est. Install Time — so you always see where the quote stands.
